Starting now

Like so many other web developers out there I have had numerous ideas for web ventures that I think could be worth something if I could just get the time to execute them.

I have two main projects I'm working on:
1. A fantasy football related application, codenamed Project Leaf
2. Attempting to outdo the existing Netflix recommendation algorithm (The Netflix Challenge) codenamed Flixmate

Also, I would like to take a stab at implementing some open APIs that are out there (google being the most obvious source) and leveraging them into some useful widgets. Then there's a fascination I have with using rails and Flex together that I'm hoping to work into one of the other projects.

Anyway, this is just an opening post. Future posts will be more on topic of a specific project and/or technology but as has been said so many times... you have have to start somewhere.
